Tia LaMore
Born in Singapore, raised in San Diego, and now thriving in the Bay Area, TiaLaMore brings 18 years of diverse dance experience spanning hip hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, musical theater, and more. She has choreographed and taught for troupes, dance teams, and contemporary companies such as Thrive Contemporary Dance Company in Berkeley and Oberlin Dance Collective in San Francisco.
Now, she fuses her passion for Heels with influences from hip hop, jazz, and acrobatics to craft fun, empowering choreography that encourages dancers to move with confidence and feel amazing in their bodies. Her classes focus on intentionality, creating a supportive space where students can freely express their sensuality and embrace the catharsis of movement.
When she’s not lighting up the dance floor, TiaLaMore is in the lab at UCSF studying brain health or caring for birds and butterflies at the Cal Academy of Sciences. In her free time, she loves bird-watching, photography, and soaking in live music, films, and art with friends.
