Marisa Lopez

Marisa is a former principal dancer with the Dutch National Ballet, whose illustrious 20-year career also included training and performing with the San Francisco Ballet and guest appearances with the American Ballet Theatre. Her artistry, strength, and dedication to the craft made her a celebrated figure in the ballet world winning both the Stichting Dansersfonds Prize and the Alexandra Radius Prize.

After retiring from professional dance, Marisa pursued a new passion in healthcare, earning her nursing degree summa cum laude and becoming a Registered Nurse. For the past seven years, she has been devoted to patient care, seamlessly blending the discipline and grace of ballet with the precision and compassion of medical science.

Marisa continues to bridge the worlds of art and wellness as a floor barre teacher, sharing her expertise in movement, injury prevention, and body awareness. Through her work, she remains committed to fostering health, longevity, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of dance.
